Week Three: Parents Are Your Key to Paradise
A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said, “O Messenger of Allah! Who among the people has the most right to my good company?” He replied, “Your mother.” The man said, “Then who?” He replied, “Your mother.” The man said, “Then who?” He replied, “Your mother.” The man said, “Then who?” He replied, “Then your father.”

SubhanAllah. Our mothers symbolize love, honor, sacrifice, and beauty. They carry the child in their wombs for nine months, and then they also care for their child until the child can care for themselves. And even then, the mother will still do what she can to help through sickness and health.
In this hadith, the Prophet (ﷺ) is asked who is the most deserving of good companionship. He says the mother. Not only does he mention this once, but three times. And then he says the father once. This goes to show the importance of respecting and loving your mother no matter what. But it's also important to respect and love your father.
Mentioning the father once does not mean our father doesn't deserve the same love and respect we give our mothers. But it just shows us the greatness of our mothers and everything they do for us from the moment we begin developing in the womb until, well, forever.
Please, always show your parents respect. Care for them. Love them. Don't take them for granted. They won't be with us forever.
May Allah bless our parents with good health and a rightous long life.
