Week Sixteen: Fasting Shawwal
Abu Ayub narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six from Shawwal, then that is (equal in reward) to fasting every day."

SubhanAllah. Just like that, sadly, Ramadan has come and gone. But just because Ramadan is over doesn't mean we should stop worshipping Allah day and night. We need to continue our acts of worship even after Ramadan. Praying the 5 daily prayers on time. Reading Qur'an. Making lots of dua. Fasting!
In the hadith above, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) tells us about fasting six (6) days in Shawwal and its reward. Shawwal is the month after Ramadan and after we have fasted all of Ramadan and we followed with fasting 6 days of Shawwal will get a reward as if they fasted an entire year. Isn't this beautiful?
It's important that before you fast the 6 days of Shawwal, you need to fast the number of days you missed in Ramadan.
May Allah make it easy for us. May He guide us toward the straight path and keep our hearts firm in His religion.
