The BEST Tuna Salad Recipe
Making a bowl of tuna salad at home is one of the easiest meals you can make with only a few ingredients.
Do you want to know the best part? You can eat a tuna salad in so many different ways! Eat it as is for a flavorful healthy snack, serve it on toasted bread, use it as a dip with your favorite crackers, or even make yummy lettuce wraps out of them!
Anytime my family would go on hikes or lake trips, my mom would almost always make a tuna sandwich for everyone. The secret ingredient to all her tuna sandwiches was boiled eggs! ;)
3 Boiled Eggs
2 Cans of Tuna
2 Garlic Cloves, minced super small
5-10 Cherry Tomatoes, sliced in halves
1 Long Carrot, shredded
1 Celery Stick, diced
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1 tbsp Sriracha (optional)
Start by putting your eggs to boil for 10 minutes. While the eggs boil, we will assemble the tuna salad.
Open your tuna cans and drain them. Once drained, add to a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Mince your garlic cloves, slice your cherry tomatoes in half, shred your carrot stick, and dice your celery. Add all these ingredients to the bowl with the tuna.
Season with salt and pepper. For extra spice, you can add crushed red pepper flakes.
Add your mayonnaise and the sriracha. The sriracha is also optional.
Give your tuna salad a good mix. Make sure everything is combined well.
By this time, your eggs should be done. Peel the eggs and slice them into small pieces. Add to your tuna salad and then mix it all again.
