Honor Your Parents
Surah Al-Isra
For your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully. [17:23]
And be humble with them out of mercy, and pray, “My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me when I was young.” [17:24]

Ayat 23: Allah is telling us in this ayat to honor them, and show them the utmost respect especially when they reach old age. And to never yell at them, disrespect them, have an attitude with them, etc.
Our parents took care of us when we were sick and healthy. So if your parent falls sick, don't send them to a nursing home. Rather, do your best to care for them as they did you.
Ayat 24: This ayat is an important dua we should make for our parents.
"My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me when I was young."
