Ground Beef Tacos
Updated: May 16
This ground beef taco recipe is so full of flavor that it'll be hard to stop eating! It's an easy weeknight dinner for you and your family to enjoy. It takes less than 30 minutes to make and that includes the prep work!
For this recipe, I use my homemade taco seasoning created with a bunch of tasty spices. Doing this is not only super easy, but it's cheaper than using a prepared taco seasoning packet from the store. These are the spices I use for my taco seasoning:
Salt & Pepper
Garlic & Onion Powder
Cumin
Chili Powder & Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
1 Onion
4 Garlic Cloves
1 tbsp Oil
Homemade Taco Seasoning
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
2-3 tbsp Water
Taco
Corn Tortillas
Your Choice of Topping: salsa, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa verde, etc.

Start by dicing your onion and mincing your garlic cloves.

Heat up a pan with oil. Once hot, add your onion and garlic. Let it fry until your onion turns translucent and a slight brown color.

Next, you'll add in your ground beef along with the seasonings. Mix and cover your pan. Cook the beef until no longer pink.

Pour in your 2 tbsp of water. This will help your beef not be so dry and the sauce will also be way more flavorful. Let cook uncovered for a couple of minutes on low heat.
Top your corn tortillas with the beef and your choice of topping and enjoy!
