Hey There!

I am so glad you're here! My name is Lejla and welcome to It's Hayati. This is my blog where I will be sharing all of my favorite recipes and teaching you a bit about my religion, Islam.

I started this blog not only to share with the world but also to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and finally do what they've been scared of doing.

1. I'm a Muslim Bosnian-American born and raised in the states!

2. I have always wanted to be a teacher so after I graduated high school in 2020, I became a teacher assistant at a local Islamic School. This gave me the opportunity to get experience in the teaching field!

3. I became a kindergarten teacher in the 2021-2022 school year and I couldn't be more grateful for that opportunity!

The Story Behind "It's Hayati"

Hayati means "my life" in Arabic.

It all started when I got married. Hayati was actually my husband's nickname for me. I thought the word was so cute and had a beautiful meaning to it. Fast forward to now, I couldn't think of a name for my blog so I asked my husband to help me and he definitely gets all the credit!

I could've only put "Hayati" but adding "It's" in front of it just made sense. "It's 'my life.'"
